Gerster Solutions is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for both our associates and our customers.
We employ a full-time Environmental, Health and Safety manager to ensure our employees have the proper training to meet and exceed all local, state and federal safety compliance requirements. Our employees also participate in our customer's internal safety programs.
Our safety manager conducts regular monthly training for all Gerster Solutions associates covering topics such as fire extinguisher training, MSDS, etc. All service technicians and project managers are required to complete the 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training class. Our technicians and project managers also receive thorough safety training upon being hired and receive refresher training throughout the year in various topics such as:
• Electrical safety, NFPA 70E
• Lock out/tag out
• Defensive driving
• Hazardous communication
All field personnel are provided with and have been properly fitted with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) plus training on when and how to use it. Equipment and materials used to complete our work undergo regular inspections to ensure it is in proper and safe working order.
Our subcontractors are also held to high safety standards and are required to abide by our Environmental, Health and Safety rules and must submit their safety records to us yearly.
At Gerster Solutions, safety is one of our top priorities.
Gerster Solutions uses insured and certified rigging companies and always assigns a safety manager to oversee projects which include lifting.
